Validation and Recertification of Cisco CCNA

This is the basic question how long validity of CCNA certification and when you will require CCNA re-certification?
Cisco offers CCNA certification for limited period in which you can re-certified or get expert level of certification.

Validity of CCNA certification:
Your CCNA certification will valid for only 3 years from the passing date of exam. Before expiration of this certification you should re-certify your certification again OR you can get higher level of Cisco certification.

What you can do to extend or Recertify your CCNA certification is below:

• You can pass any current associate level of exams excepts ICND1. You may pass in CCDA, CCENT, CCNA Cloud, CCNA Collaboration, CCNA Data Center, CCNA Industrial, CCNA Routing & Switching, CCNA Security, CCNA Service Provider, CCNA Wireless.
• You may pass in any professional level of Cisco exams to recertify your CCNA certification. These exams are CCDP, CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Routing & Switching, CCNP Service Provider, CCNP Cloud, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Security, CCNP Wireless
• You may pass CCIE written exam to recertify CCNA certification again.Exam could be for CCIE Routing and Switching, CCIE Security, CCIE Collaboration, CCIE Wireless, CCIE Data center, CCIE service provider.
• You can pass CCDE written or CCDE Lab exam.
• You can extend your certification by CCAr interview and CCAr board review.

Good thing is that Cisco gives the opportunity to extend your lower certification by passing higher level of exams and your lower level of certification expiration date will extends till your new higher level of certification's expiration date. For example, suppose you are CCNA Routing and Switching certified and your certification date will coming to expire. You can pass CCIE exam before your CCNA R&S certification expiration date and your validity will extends till your CCIE certification expiration date.
